Natural stone façadesCasaNova, Rotterdam

New Construction of CasaNova, Rotterdam

The 110 metre high CasaNova tower, designed by Barcode Architects, is an unmistakable structure in the maritime district of Rotterdam. With its slender, triangular shape, the high-rise building ensures optimal sightlines and daylight for the surrounding buildings, while at the same time offering the residential units in the tower an unrivalled 300-degree view over the city.

The natural stone façade made of Neckartäler Hartsandstein gives the 36-storey tower block a particularly warm character and impresses in particular with its elaborate design. The hand-crafted, line-split surface finish gives the building a constantly changing appearance as the light changes. Towards the top of the tower, the line-split surface of the façade panels decreases more and more in a flowing transition until a honed surface dominates.
